SRA LAUNCH PHOTOGRAPHS

If you are a SRA member, or a registered SRA Photo Gallery guest, you can upload your photos directly to the gallery. These photos are shared with the general public.

If you prefer that your photos remain private and available to SRA members only, you may e-mail them to us. If you make copies of your originals and reduce the copies so the maximum dimension is around 1000 pixels, you will be able to send more photographs in a single e-mail. Feel free to use a .zip file as well.


NEW CLUB L CLASS TARGET ALTITUDE RECORD

Congratulations to Tim Cubbedge for setting a new Club L Class Target Altitude record. Tim flew his Screech Extra rocket boosted on a L840 motor to an altitude of 9448 feet.

NOTE: SRA uses a "target" altitude for those classes where it is feasible to exceed the FAA altitude limit of 13,500 feet. For these classes the goal is to achieve the highest altitude possible without exceeding the target altitude of 12,000 feet.


SRA JULY COMPETITION RESULTS

This month's competition was an A Class Streamer Duration event. See this month's launch report for the standings and all of the scores.


SRA AUGUST COMPETITION NOTICE

SRA is planning an A Class Parachute Duration and an A Class 4 Cup Styrofoam Rocket Duration event for August. Details are posted on the Competition page of the web site.

NOTE: Bernie will not be able to attend the August launch.


NEXT SCHEDULED LAUNCH

The next SRA launch is scheduled for Saturday August 19th, 2017. Equipment set-up begins at 10:00 with launches running from 11:00 until 4:00. The launch status is kept up-to-date on the Launch Status page of the web site.


JULY 2017 LAUNCH REPORT

There were 16 fliers that made a total of 17 recorded flights. The total impulse for the flights was equivalent to a single J motor or 688 single A motors.
